Spring is among us, and what better way to celebrate that by wearing… black! I know what you’re all thinking… that it’s not the most spring-appropriate colour, but I’ve been dying to wear this top and now that it’s warming up I can actually wear it without having to wear anything on top! Of course I bring a blazer “just in case”, but it has been so free-ing to wear some shorter sleeve shirts. And this one in particular I love the bell sleeve detail that I’m still not sick of, and I can actually finally wear it without having to hide the sleeves under a blazer!
Oh and did I mention this was my Balenciaga bag’s first big day out? Oh yes, it was. And she was perfect. Can you believe that inside that bag right now is actually a 13 inch macbook pro! Such an amazingly functional and rocker chic bag, I can help but feel cool everytime I wear her!
This zara knit is just amazing. I featured it on my haul video previously, but it is just the most comfiest softest knit… ever! Not to mention how warm it keeps you! Now it does fall at a strange length, and being so oversized, to keep it from overwhelming me I needed to slim it down with some black leggings. And of course what happens when you team an oversized knit with leggings? Blissful comfort dressing. Now to keep it from looking like it only took you 5 minutes to dress, I’ve paired it with some cool accessories such as leather gloves, and my trusty trendy YSL bag. Add some coloured poufs for colour anddddd we are done!
Anyways I don’t know if it’s because its a simple silhouette, or the cute poufs, or if it’s the leather gloves… but I really love this outfit. What do you guys think?
So I have finally got around to sharing this outfit post with you guys. I love this knit Coord from Sportsgirl. I first saw it in Zara in a gorgeous mottled grey colour, and I just loved how bloggers/stylists wore it with shoes for that cool/comfy vibe. Unfortunately it was completely sold out by the time I had visited Zara, but managed to stumble upon this in Sportsgirl. Its an amazing spring piece, but now that it’s cooler I’ve styled it with this plush longline coat from Missguided. Paired with some mules and the ever gorgeous Chanel mini, I just felt it was a match made.
Now the top is actually much longer than pictured here, and given I’m short I’ve styled it by tucking it into the waist. I also love how the two pieces can be styled individually – the knit culottes in particular are so comfy and very easily styled!
Honestly guys, I never know what to write in my blog posts sometimes. I’m such a visual person, and I’ve always been the type to just look at pictures in magazines and skip the writing. Occasionally, I feel like when I “blog” on my posts, they’re always just fillers. But that’s not what I really want to do today. Although pictures are served to attract the viewer, when it comes down to the nitty gritty, it’s the words and the writing allows you to really get to know the person. If someone takes the 5 minutes out of their day to read the writing on a blog post, then honestly I’m both impressed and honoured!
I remember this day because it was mothers day. Yes I know, it means the photo is a bit “late” but I think my posts will just tend to be 1 month late as I want to be shooting 1 month ahead… does that make sense? Maybe not.
I guess reflecting on this day it was the first day that my mum and sister had moved to Adelaide. To fill you in if you’re curious – I am the eldest of 5 kids, and up until now I had moved to Adelaide to be with my 3 brothers who are currently studying, and shoulder the costs of basically their board and lodging. However after being accepted into the QLD GP training program, I’ll be moving interstate and my family took this as an opportunity to be together again in one state as a family. Which meant mum & sis finally moving to Adelaide.
Anyways, long story short, it was the first mother’s day we had spent together as a family in many many years, and it was good. We took her out to Argo on the Parade which luckily at the time we went wasnt too busy, and it was just genuinely nice to be out as a family.
So I guess to make this post slightly relevant to the outfit, can you tell that I’m obsessed with the this rich emerald green colour? I love that my earrings, my top and even my pouf key ring from sportsgirl all match! haha. Anyways in this outfit I’ve teamed up my paperbag chinos from dotti that I normally wear for work with something more fun and flirty like this flare sleeve top from Zara. I know its not the most autumn/winter appropriate top, but throw a coat over it and you can make ANYTHING winter appropriate. Am I right? I love the colour palette of this look, I just find they blend so harmoniously and effortlessly.
So it has definitely been too long since my last blog post, and many apologies for that. However, the past few weeks I was having problems with flickr which is where I upload my photos, and furthermore I’ve just generally felt a bit too lazy to blog. I really want to change the layout of my blog because it’s just so… blah.
First and foremost, I want to say thank you to the overwhelming number of responses I got (and still get) from my past posts. I’m really so lucky to have stumbled onto the world of youtube and blogging and to have received so much support from people I have never met, but I regard as my friends. Really is amazing.
Anyways, I just wanted to update this because it’s embarassing how dead it is at the moment. So here’s an outfit post for you all, showing how I wore this gorgeous newlook top that I featured in my fashion haul video which I will include a link to below as well.
Alexander Wang Inspired Bag – Ebay (Real AW Rocco: here)
PS – Before anyone comments, it’s not ALWAYS cold where I live. In fact, it’s been quite hot & humid the past couple of days 🙁
As if that wasnt bad enough, I have been terrible and shopping so much this month too! I think because it’s my birthday month that I’m just secretly telling myself that it’s acceptable. I’ve actually purchased a bunch of stuff online that hopefully will be coming soon so I can film yet ANOTHER haul! haha. I’ll probably have to break it up into parts because there’s so much.
But as always, there are still always items that are somewhat out of our reach but we always lust for. My biggest debate is whether I want to invest in a rose gold watch. I love the highly coveted MK Rose gold watches, but I havent been able to bring myself to spend the $$$. And if I do get one, not sure if I should go for the trendy “Rose Gold” or if I should stick to the ever so reliable “Gold”. Please let me know your opinions! And if you have one, how much do you LOVE it? haha.
And of course, I want the ever so popular double strap Zara heels that can be found almost ANYWHERE. Not sure who started it (Alexander Wang?) but I love the simple minimalistic but classy feel to it. I’m actually currently bidding on a pair on ebay, so wish me luck!!
Well, i think i’ll end it here for now. Goodnight y’all!
