How to update any handbag in your collection with the trendy guitar strap
If you haven’t heard me go on and on about this strap yet and my current handbag accessory obsession, please let me fill you in. This $30 strap from H&M has honestly been a game changer for me! I’m sure you have all see those Fendi you straps, and those Valentino guitar straps which have been all the rage lately. I’ve been teaming it up with vintage bags and pouches and it’s honestly just the best! If you can’t find this particular strap, you can also check for them on ebay! Changing the accessories on your bags whether it be the strap, adding stickers, adding keychains or twillies are an amazing way of making your bag your own.
In this look I’ve teamed it with my Louis Vuitton Pochette Metis and I think it’s perfect! It’s honestly a match made in heaven. You guys know that I love my pochette metis, but lately it’s become so popular that they’re almost everywhere! While I do enjoy wearing it casually with the strap provided for a classic look (like in this post here and also here), I love this modern/trendy spin the strap adds to this bag. It really makes it stand out from the crown, and it’s a great talking point! What do you guys think?
On a more personal note…
These photos were taken at Hahndorf with my family and I’m sorry for the picture spam but I just love these photos. Its such a wonderful reminder of what an amazing day we had. Since moving to Brisbane I’ve had such bad homesickness. If you’re from a big family, you know how much fun and laughter there is in being in at home with the family. It’s not always sunshine and buttercups, but when you’re home, there’s nothing like it. Being away from home has it’s perks in being independent again, doing your own thing, having your own space, not worrying about your mum/sister stealing you clothes…. but they’re also what makes me feel so lonely at times.
I look at these pictures and smile.
I hope you really enjoy them too!
Now I know I’ve been neglecting my blog a bit, and I’ve got a backlog of pictures I really want to have posted soon. So make sure you follow me on bloglovin if you want to stay updated!
Two days ago we were lucky enough to be able to celebrate my dearest brother Joseph’s Graduation ceremony. It was only 3 years ago that I was able to graduate myself with the most amazing feeling of accomplishment, and I couldn’t be happier for my brother to be able to experience that same feeling.
During the ceremony there was a very inspiring speaker who reminded us that although knowledge informs us, education transforms us. The process of going to university will always be a period in our lives that will changes us, and shape us into the person that we are. The people we meet, the lessons we learn, the mistakes we make – they are all a part of us. Although sometimes the world can be so bleak and dark with exams and self doubt looming above us, but I look back now at this time with fondness. You will never have that experience again. You will never be that same person again. So if you’re in University now, enjoy it! Love it, live it, savour ever moment of it. Because after University, the world is just a little bit different.
Another point he made that really struck me was, its ok to still not know what you want to be when you grow up. And this came from a speaker who was so well accomplished, so well travelled, and honestly I felt like he had already succeeded in life. People always assume that by going to University our lives are predetermined. In a way, yes – for example getting a degree in Medicine usually means you will practice medicine; but at the same time, not really. So many people find that the jobs they ultimately end up with have nothing to do with the course that they studied. Of course sometimes this can be a huge hurdle to not be able to find a job after Uni, but remember that when a door closes a window opens! Opportunities arise from the most unexpected places! So stay positive, stay optimistic! Be excited about your future! Although I’m a Doctor right now, I’m excited about the possibilities of tomorrow and where my life will take me in 10 years time!
So to sum up, stay inspired!
Always dream, and dream big. Stay curious. Be adventurous. Do not be afraid of what the future may have in store. And explore the possibilities, the endlesspossibilitiesof your tomorrow!
To my brother Joseph,
Congratulations. I’m so proud and eagerly anticipate you excel in life. I’m so excited to see what accomplishments you will undertake. You have such amazing potential and I know you will go far. Remember to stay humble and don’t be jaded by the world. Let your determination be your strength, and have faith that the Lord will guide you. I will always support you in everything you do, and all I ask is you not forget me when you’ve “made it”. haha! Love you!
Hi everyone so just wanted to accompany my video with a blog post with pics. So as you all know, I’m back in Australia but i’m still uploading videos I filmed in the philippines so that I have something to upload weekly.
So now that that’s cleared up, I’m actually in the middle of doing two assignments both due this friday, but what the heck. I figured this could be a good “study break”. haha.
if you havent seen the YT video here it is!
And here are some outfit pictures (courtesy of my lovely little brother – not the one shown here).
|| Redhead white peplum top || Newlook Corduroy Highwaisted Shorts || Novo Black Suede Pointed Wedges || Alexander Wang Inspired Rocco Bag || Lovisa Gold Cuff Necklace || Cotton on black waterfall open cardigan ||
Notice the shoe change? I always bring with me some spare flats for when I’m out walking for a while!
Remind me to do a haul?
Anyways that’s all. Hope you guys enjoyed the pics, sorry it’s pic heavy but I figured almost everyone’s got broadband now-a-days right? haha.
For those who are subscribers of my youtube channel, you’ve probably already seen my most recent video where my brother JP did my makeup. So I’m just here, 2 days later, complimenting that video with a blog post.
Firstly, for those who have not seen the video yet, here it is:
I had so much fun doing this TAG and I’m so glad JP was able to do it with me. He was actually really keen which was awesome. And from the looks of the comments, so many of you guys enjoyed it too which was so good to hear. I honestly thought it may not be as funny to you guys as it was for us but thankfully you found it just as hilarious 😀
And ofcourse, what kind of makeup look would it be without beauty shots??
And of course what kind of sister would I be if I didnt share the love right? So please check out his channel which I’ll include below. He loves to dance and he’s just recently started choreographing his own moves. I’ve never been great at choreographed dancing so I can only imagine how difficult it is to create the actual choreography yourself. I keep teasing him that he’ll have to teach me some moves sometime… LOL. That’ll probably never happen considering I suck at anything remotely choreographed. haha!
Well, I think that’s it for the shameless plugs. Before I leave just wanted to ask you guys for an opinion. I want to start scheduling some videos that hopefully will come out ever week/2weeks BUT the problem right now is that I had filmed some videos before leaving the philippines which I forgot to bring with me on my break to edit. So ofcourse, it’s kind of out of date, but I do still want to put them up (they’re hauls). Just not sure if I should wait after the videos I filmed in the philippines, or just put them up now and the rest of the videos i filmed in the philippines later? I’m leaning more towards just putting them up after I’ve put up all of the videos I filmed in the phils. To be honest, I should probs just scrap it. But such a waste!
Anyways, that was probably confusing as heck but if you can offer an opinion that’d be great. I’m seriously TRYING to ween myself off of YT so I can concentrate more on uni but it’s so hard considering I have all this footage that needs editing and I feel like it’s such a waste to just … leave them be. -sigh- Editing kills me ;_; I suck at it so much and it takes me hours! boo.
Well, we’ll see how this week goes and then I’ll figure out what to do from there 🙂 But for now, I bid you all a goodnight! (or goodmorning?)
